ROLLINGS, CLIFTON

A mass of Christian burial was performed Dec. 9 at St. Joseph’s Church for Clifton Rollings, 95, of Brick Township. He passed away Dec. 5. He was born in Brooklyn and worked as an offset printer for Canada Dry in Manhattan for twenty eight years. He lived in Jersey City most of his life with his wife, Irene (Fagan) Rollings, who predeceased him.
Clif lived in Brick Township, with his great-nephew, Thomas Barry, for the last five years. They both enjoyed Clif’s greatest pleasure, taking his wooden sailboat, the Irene Tasay, from the Beaton Boat Yard out on Barnegat Bay.
Clif was a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Battle of Normandy and was an honorary member of the Brick Moose Lodge. He is survived by his niece, Joan Barry Bly and many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nephews, Edward, Donald, Francis and Robert Barry. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
