Funeral services were held at Monumental Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Elizabeth “Snooky” Harris, lifelong resident of Jersey City, and retired security guard after 38 years with the JC Board of Education. She passed away Nov.12. She was the widow of the late Hugh Harris Sr; mother of Hugh Harris Jr, Catherine and Raymond Harris, and Barbara Harris-Mckenzie; grandmother of 13: Lamont and Khalis Harris, Khalif Lee, Badina Diggs, Andrea Lynne, Nisha Scott-Reid, Tamika Porter, Jhabril, Mikal and Yusuf Harris, Shahid, Fahim and Zakiyah Harris; sister of Donald Howard and the late Lorraine Summers; sister-in-law to Barbara L.Harris and brother-in-law to the late Ronald Harris Sr.; mother-in-law to the late Janet Scott-Harris; also survived by daughter-in-law Desiree Harris; son-in-law David Mckenzie; cousins, Edward and Patricia Goodman, Elizabeth Carmichael and a host of many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and friends.
