October was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The members of the Bayonne Our Lady of Mount Carmel Senior Citizens Organization would like to thank Care Point Health, Bayonne Medical Center, and Dr. Robbi Kempner: Director of Breast Surgery & Medical Director of the Breast Center for coming to our October 22 meeting.
Dr. Kempner gave a very informative and interesting talk on the various signs of cancer, its risk factors, the many treatments that can save a person’s life and the importance of mammograms. She stressed that men are also at risk to develop breast cancer. Many questions were asked and answered. Ms. Christine Yesinko: Public Relations and Ms. Laurie Guma: Registered Nurse were also in attendance and we thank them for their help.
We offer our thanks to Care Point Health, Bayonne Medical Center for having many lectures and seminars on various subjects which are of interest to the entire community of Bayonne; as well as for the refreshments at our meeting, which were enjoyed by all.
