HUDSON COUNTY — These are the things that get forecasters a bit too excited too soon, but it never hurts to keep an eye out.
Wunderground, a weather forecasting site, says a nor’easter could impact the Northeast (appropriately) at the end of next week.
Right now, Accuweather predicts some rain and wind for Wednesday.
The last time we posted about an upcoming nor’easter, we were one of the first sites to post it — and it hit — so perhaps it’s worth keeping an eye on. (Not both eyes yet, though.)
Wunderground said on Thursday: “GFS, EURO and GGEM all have shown signs of a major nor’easter impacting the Northeastern US sometime in the 7 day range. The unfortunate news is that the modeled storm idea is still 7 to 8 days away from fruition, but the good news is that the models are showing signs as to why the storm idea might not be that far fetched. The 12z and 18z GFS runs have shown signs of the Northeast Pacific Ocean reacting to the troughing over the GOAK in a good way. First of all ridging is bulging into Alaska from the Aleutian Islands…”
