On these pages are pictures, taken by Victor M. Rodriguez, of the last “Carfloat” operation in New Jersey. The NYNJ Rail operation, located at the former Pennsylvania Railroad Greenville Yard in Jersey City, carries rail cars on rail barges called “Carfloats,” which are towed by tugs, between Jersey City and the 65th Street Yard in Brooklyn.
