To the Editor:
Bayonne voters should decide on school-board members. Mayor Smith should get behind this. The people want open elections. The city council members also should get behind this. In 1776 there was a petition signed—the Declaration of Independence. The idea behind this petition was to stop a one-man rule. So much power leads to tyranny. An open and fair election for the people and by the people will end such tyranny. It should be on the ballot November 2013 or May 2014 that Bayonne voters should decide on school-board members.
