A funeral mass was offered Aug. 23 at St. Francis Church, Hoboken, for Nicola Capurso, 85, of Hoboken. He passed away Aug. 19 at home. Born in Molfetta, Italy, to the late Salvatore and Damiana Capurso, he lived in Hoboken. He was a laborer and a member of Labor Union – Local 21. He was the husband of Benedetta; father of Damiana Proano and her husband Fernando, Salvatore Capurso and his wife Beth, and Anna Rosa Amato and her husband Nicola; grandfather of Andriana and Andres Proano, Keith Capurso, and Nicholas Amato.
