Funeral mass was celebrated July 23 at Holy Rosary Church for Margherita “Daisy” Caianiello, 98, a lifelong Jersey City resident. She passed away July 20. Daisy was born and raised in Jersey City’s downtown Holy Rosary Church area where she was a staple in the community. She was a kind person who devoted a great part of her life to the church and will be sorely missed at the annual feast. Many will remember her from the family restaurant “Tripoli” where she worked years ago. She retired at 85 years old from the City of Jersey City’s Purchasing Department. She was the sister of the late Connie Troisi, Mary Cerchio, Edith Scerbo, Susan Cormier, Helen Giordano, Louis and Anthony Caianiello. She is survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, 3205 Jersey City.
