JERSEY CITY – A wheelchair-bound Jersey City man was shot and killed early Saturday morning on Ocean Avenue after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds,
The victim was discovered on the ground outside a convenience store near Wegman Parkway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to NJ.com.
While police have no suspects and no motive for the murder at this time, according to the report, the victim had been a known drug dealer in the past and had several prior convictions.
This was not the victim’s first brush with violence. According to NJ.com, the victim was shot multiple times in 2002 outside a bar near Ocean Avenue and Stegman Street. That incident left him partially paralyzed and wheelchair bound for the rest of his life.
