Hudacko’s took the opener of the Bayonne Little League Major League Championship Series with a 5-2 win over defending Champs Attisanno. Frankie Vuolo pitched a 3 hitter with 8 strikeouts; Frankie had a single, and his brother Joey also had a doulble, John Buckland doubled and Edmund Broderick had a single. James Ashe homered, Thomas Cotter had a double, and Mike Lojewski singled.
Game 2 is scheduled for June 18 at 5:30 p.m.
Senior Minor League Championships
Towers Electric 15, Perucci 9 .Towers Electic was 1-4-1, then Manager Joe Bermudez worked with his team, and led them to a big comeback to win 5 in a row, and they won the clincher 15-7.
Towers jumped to a 5-0 lead in the top of the 1st, and Perrucci closed the gap to 5-4, and Towers made the score 11-4 in the 2nd and added 1 in the 3rd and 3 in the 4th. Perrucci scored 1 run each in the 3rd, 4th and 5th and 2 in the 6th. Tyler Young lead Towers with a double and 2 singles, Kenny Vaca had an inside the park homer and a single, David had a double and a single, Chris Bermudez, Ryan Ballance, and Shivash Kumar had 2 singles, Josh Bermudez, and Julian Ortiz both had doubles, and Anthony Gallardo had a single. For Perrucci, Anthony Lucia, Chris Osononko, and Anthony Orlando had doubles, Paolo Pasquali had a triple, while Brandon Wright and Daniel Auriemma both had singles.
