The 16th Annual Don and Arlene Ahern Memorial Golf Classic will be held on Monday, June 24, at the LaTourette Golf Club in Staten Island. The golf package price is $150 and includes:
7:00 a.m. registration
Warm-up bucket of balls
8:00 a.m. shotgun start
Green fees and cart
Lunch on the turn
3:00 p.m. reception (hot/cold buffet and open bar) following at Kuhl’s Tavern in Bayonne.

This tournament benefits the Don and Arlene Ahern Memorial Scholarship Program. Don was an educator and coach in Bayonne for more than 30 years, serving as the Principal of Alternate Education and Varsity Football Head Coach at Bayonne High School. He also served as City Councilman for 12 years. Arlene was the founder and heart and soul of the Ahern Foundation which was created after Don’s death in 1995. Arlene lost her long battle with cancer in 2001. The Foundation awards two $2,500 college scholarships each year to local high-school students. Since 1998, the Ahern Foundation has awarded $80,000 in college scholarships.
