Journalist, Secaucus resident pleads not guilty to hacking charges

SECAUCUS AND BEYOND — Matthew Keys, a social media editor who lives in Secaucus, made national headlines when he was accused of allegedly giving login information for a former employer to the hackers group “Anonymous.” On Tuesday, Keys pleaded not guilty in federal court.
Keys, 26, reportedly made no comment in court, according to the Associated Press. His attorney said he “didn’t do the acts he’s accused of doing.”
Keys was charged with allegedly having given away the login information to the Tribune Company. He had been terminated from one of their television stations.
