Funeral mass was celebrated April 13 at St. Aedan’s Church, Jersey City, for Felipe Malabe, 31 of Jersey City. He passed away April 9 at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Jersey City to the late Guillermo and Claudette Malabe, he lived most of his life in Jersey City until enlisting in the armed forces. In 2006, he joined the National Guard and then the US Army. Felipe served over seas in Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Korea. He was stationed in Oklahoma for 2 years and recently at McGuire Air Force Base in North Hanover. He was the husband of Carmen and father of Chelsey Mendoza, Angelique Fonseca and Isabella Malabe. He is also survived by 7 siblings and many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the IntrocasoAngelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
