A funeral mass was held March 3 at the St Joseph of the Palisades, West New York, for Rose Borrelli, 63, of West New York. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Feb. 28. Rose was mother to Melissa Borrelli; sister of Carmine and his wife Barbara, Maria Shwalb and her husband Bob, and Theresa; aunt of David Scaffe, Daniel and Andrea Borrelli, Allison and Valerie Shwalb; also survived by many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Carmine and Carmella (Gagliastro), and her sister Connie Scaffe and her husband Herb. Long after her daughter graduated, Rose remained to educational causes through her participation with the PTA, holding past positions as WNY Public School 2 President, Hudson County President and State Region Director.
