A funeral mass was offered Feb. 18 at Our Lady of Victories Church, Jersey City, for Irene Cerchio, 90. She died Feb. 15 at the Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. Born in Jersey City she lived there until moving to North Arlington 4 years ago. She worked as a teacher’s aide for the Jersey City Board of Education for 10 years before retiring 25 years ago. She was a member of the Nutrition Center in North Arlington. She was the wife of the late David; the mother of John and his wife Lorraine and Nicholas and his wife Linda; the grandmother of 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; and the sister of Palma Manzo, Yolanda Balesterri and Susan Arancio.
