A funeral took place Feb. 4 for Julia Maria Duarte, 94, of North Bergen. She passed away on Feb. 2. Born in Marti, Cuba she was a retired embroidery worker. She was the wife of the late Tomas J. Duarte; mother of Tomas Duarte and his wife Gloria; grandmother of Tomas Duarte, Ralph Duarte and Gloria Giordano; great grandmother of Christina, Rebecca, Tomas, Julia and Anastasia Duarte, Gabrielle and Ashlee Giordano; sister of Consuelo Novaton and predeceased by four brothers and six sisters. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
