A funeral service was held Jan. 24 for Michael Anthony Lopes, 64, of Woodridge. He passed away Jan. 20. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Union City and North Bergen for many years before moving to Woodridge. He worked in Wire Transfer Department of Manufacturers Hanover Bank in New York City for many years before retiring and was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star for services rendered. He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Louise Lopes. He was the brother of Rudolph Lopes, Jr. and wife Fran and Linda Lopes. He is survived by his cousins, Susan, Diane, Cookie and Marianne; and was the uncle of Brett and Shalena Lopes and Noel and Stacy Chapman. Services arranged by the Leber Funeral Home, Union City.
