Funeral mass was held Jan. 18 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for George Dalessio ‘Pittsie,’ 86, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away Jan. 14. George was a retired inspector for the Jersey City Sewerage Authority. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. George was the husband of the late Victoria; stepfather of Ramona Manna and the late John DeFlaminis; and grandfather of Erica Manna; father of Robin Vaccaro, Lee Tripp, George and the late Jennie and Peter Dalessio; brother of Pauline Chiaro, Mary Eutsler, Ann ‘Nettie’ Galletti; also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
