A funeral mass was offered Jan 16 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Thomas W. Fitzpatrick, 81, of Hoboken. He passed away Jan. 12 at the Hoboken University Medical Center, surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Hoboken, Thomas retired after 30 years as a police officer with the Hoboken Police Department. Mr. Fitzpatrick was also a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Thomas was predeceased by his wife Nancy in 2003. He will be missed by his daughter Joann Barron and her husband Danny; two sons, Thomas and Michael, a brother Johnny, and a sister Mary Schultz. A great joy in his life were his 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Steven, Christopher, Ashley, Daniel, Nicole, Taylor, Amanda, Ryan and Meagan, and his 11 great grandchildren. Thomas was also predeceased by a daughter Nancy Ann Fitzpatrick, and four brothers, Joseph, James, Harold, and George. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
