The Marist High School varsity and JV boys’ bowling team brought home a victory against Snyder High School on Dec. 17, with JV winning three out of three games and varsity winning two out of three. Both wins were the result of the teams giving it their all.
Junior varsity player Lloyd Aclan said, “I believe that it wasn’t a single person that carried the team, but the underclassmen really pulled through and did their part in winning.”
The wins were solid and many of the team members felt that they had improved greatly from their first time playing and helped each other improve every day.
Many of the team members are first-year bowlers and underclassmen, but they really stepped up and have been enjoying their time on the team so far.
Sophomore Jose DeJesus said, “It’s great to be able to be on a team and win something as a team. This isn’t just my first year on the team but my first year at Marist and it’s been an incredible experience so far.”
The team still has the better part of the season’s length to go and is looking forward to winning many more games.
