A mass of Christian burial was performed Jan. 3 at St. Paul the Apostle Church for Geraldine Dillon Polasky, 89. She passed away Dec. 30. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Geraldine was a graduate of St. Michael’s High School and Jersey City State College. Geraldine was a registered nurse at the Jersey City Medical Center and later was employed by the city of Jersey City as Public Health Nurse. She retired in 1988. She was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church as well as a Eucharist Minister. Geraldine is the wife of George L. Polasky; mother of George J. Polasky and wife Jeanne and Jay Polasky and wife Rose; grandmother of Michael, Nora and Stefani; sister of Thomas Dillon; predeceased by siblings Joseph and James Dillon and Marie Brown. Geraldine is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
