Funeral services were held Jan. 9 for Robert J. Cleary, 67, retired JCFD. He passed away at his home in Jersey City on Jan. 4. Robert was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident. He was a firefighter for the Jersey City Fire Department, retiring in 1994 after 25 years of service. Robert is the brother of James Cleary and his wife Edna and Dennis Cleary; uncle of Jennifer DaSilva and husband Adam, Kristine Maloney and husband Herb, Michael Cleary, Captain, JCFD and wife Jennifer, Eileen DiPrima and husband Nino, Jamie DiFabrizio and husband Anthony; great uncle of Olivia, Evan, Stephanie, Brendan, Isabella, Dylan, Joseph and Michael.
