Funeral services have been held for Fong Chong,76, of Toms River, formerly of Jersey City. He passed away at Community Medical Center in Toms River on Dec. 30. Born in Jersey City, Fong was retired from Computer Operations at Ormond Shops where he worked for twenty years before retiring. He had two true loves, his family and bowling. He was a certified Bowling Lane Inspector for Hudson County for over thirty years, past President and member of the State Bowling Association, Past President and Member of the Hudson County Bowling Association, current member of the Ocean County Bowling association and he participated in many bowling leagues between Hudson Lanes, Roosevelt lanes, Playdome and Ocean Lanes. Fong is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Sara (nee: Meehan); son, Charles and his wife Janine; daughter, Jennifer Marie Larson and her husband, Jason; 4 grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Olivia Chong and Max and Sophie Larson; brothers, Joseph Chong and his wife Gee Sau; Fun Chong and his wife Madeline and sister, Sue Wong. Fong was predeceased by his brother Leng Chong. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
