A funeral mass was offered Dec. 15 at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, Paramus, for Mary Anne Waters, 67, of Paramus, formerly of Jersey City. She passed away Dec. 5. Before retiring, Mary Anne worked as a teacher for the Jersey City Board of Education, teaching at PS 17, Joseph H. Brensinger. Mary Anne was a graduate of St. Aloysius Academy in Jersey City. She was a member of the National Education Association, Hudson County Education Association and the State Education Association. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus.
She was the cousin of Dr. Thomas Mc Govern and his wife Veronica of New Rochelle, N.Y., Lorraine Taylor and her husband Gary of Hueytown, Ala., Joan Philbis of Florida and Andrew Tar and his wife Nancy of Stanford, Conn; godmother of JoAnne Tar. Friend of William Ennis and his wife Marie. Services arranged by the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Paramus.
