Funeral services were held Dec. 14 for James Louis Gettmann, 34, of North Bergen, formerly of Nutley. He passed away Dec. 11 surrounded by his family.
He was born at the Camp Lejeune, N.C. Naval Hospital. He was the son of Kelly Rush Gasser and Walter Gettmann. He was brother to three sisters, Kristen and Kellyann Gettmann, Karin Gettmann and her husband Will Bies; uncle to William Roman and Ava Lilly Bies; grandson to Claire Rush; stepson to James L. Gasser; nephew to Gail Salvetti, Cheryl Davis, Eleanor Rush, Donald Rush, James Rush and James Gettmann. James is also survived by many loving cousins and friends. He worked at Port-O Lounge in Jersey City, as general manager, a position that he truly loved and was inspired by. James had tremendous creativity, talent and artistic energy that touched countless lives. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, he will be greatly missed.
