A memorial service was held Nov. 27 for William John L. Schmidt, 85. Born in Secaucus, longtime resident of West New York, he died Nov. 25 at The Harborage Nursing Facility. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth M. (Morant). William was the father of Nancy Anne and the late Michael; and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Charles W.
