A funeral mass was offered Nov. 27 at St. Joseph of the Palisades R.C. Church IHM Chapel, North Bergen, for Rose Mary Marotta, 89, of North Bergen. She passed away Nov. 22. Rose was born in West New York, and had worked for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad in Hoboken and New York City. She was very active in the North Bergen, West New York, and Fort Lee Senior Citizens. Rose had a love of dancing and had won many trophies for her talent. She was also a Parishioner of St. Joseph of the Palisades RC Church in West New York. She was the fiance to the late Matty Peluso of Hoboken; longtime companion to the late John Sanzari of North Bergen, and his son Arthur Sanzari; aunt to Robert W. Brennan. cousin to Matthew Rega and his wife Thelma, Gloria Callea, Anthony Caruso, Nina and Maria Marotta, Amelia Pelez, and Joe Lupo. Rose is also survived by many great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services arranged by the A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.
