HOBOKEN — Those experiencing parking issues may have also been experiencing trouble contacting the Hoboken Parking Authority. Phone lines are still down due to the storm; however, four additional numbers have been offered to help anyone who needs assistance. Those numbers are (917) 337-8364, (917) 337-8407, (917) 337-8415 and (917) 337-8426.
The city is currently in the process of transitioning the way it handles business permits.
City Spokesman Juan Melli said Wednesday, “The system was very badly abused in the past. We are in a transitioning year for business parking permits, much the same way we transitioned resident parking permits a few years back.”
Businesses in need of permits for their employees will be required to show documentation for each individual that works for the company. This can be done online or by visiting the parking bureau at City Hall in person. Those registering online will first need to register the business entity.
