Helping those in need
Hudson County Sheriff Frank X. Schillari’s said his office collected more than 7,000 blankets, one pallet of dog and cat food, 1,000 sweatshirts, 500 flashlights and other supplies from local Hudson County businesses to aid in the relief efforts of those affected and displaced by Hurricane Sandy.
“Our thanks go out to the Hudson Business Community who so generously donated the supplies, storage and transportation to my office to be distributed among the relief shelters in the area,” said Sheriff Frank Schillari. ”It is in these times where we come together to help out neighbors, family and friends.”
The Hudson County Sheriff’s office will be delivering the donated relief supplies to local shelters that have been set up throughout the county to provide assistance to those that have been displaced.
