Funeral mass was offered Nov, 12 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Saverio ‘Sam’ Forlino, 87. He passed away Nov.7 at Jersey City Medical Center. A retired platform worker with Wilson Freight Company, Elizabeth for more than 40 years. Mr. Forlino was born in Hoboken at 511 Monroe Street and was a lifelong resident. He referred to his great city as ‘God’s Country’. He will be missed by two daughters; Margaret Zagari and her husband Bill and his daughter Ellen, a sister Antoinette Miltner, his grandchildren; Sammy Flores, Tiffany, and Stephanie Zagari, a great grandchild Joshua, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen in 2004. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
