A mass of Christian burial was offered Oct. 23 at St. Rocco’s R.C. Church, Union City, for Joseph R. Montemurro, Sr. of Union City, formerly West New York. He passed away Oct. 18. He was the husband of Louise (Donnarumma) for 63 years; father of the late Donald and Dr. Joseph and his wife Marizel; brother of Elizabeth Hecht; grandfather of Christina and Joseph III. Joe was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Palisades Council 387. He was a deeply religious man and well respected in his community. Joe was a WW2 Navy veteran. Services arranged by the Clerici Funeral Home, Union City.
