A funeral service took place Oct. 20 for Rose Marino, 97, formerly of Jersey City. She passed away Sept. 19 in Dania Beach, Fla. Born in Jersey City, she was a resident of Jersey City for most of her life before relocating to Florida in 1998. She was the wife of the late Joseph Marino and the sister of the late Anthony, Peter, and Thomas Santomauro and Lee Lardino; and grandmother of the late Cynthia Hayduk. Rose is survived by her three children, Genevieve Scopetto, Michael Marino, and Jody Yankers and her husband Steven; six grandchildren, Bill Scopetto, Jeffrey Scopetto, Steven Yankers, Renee Sica, Natalie Day, Danielle Cecchini; and 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
