Funeral services were held Oct. 23 for Helen T. Geerlof, 79, a lifelong Hoboken resident. She passed Oct. 19 at her home. Helen was a retired Tenant Selection Supervisor with the Hoboken Housing Authority for 28 years. Helen was predeceased by her son Lt. Michael Geerlof of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department. Surviving are two daughters Cheryl Villone and her husband Douglas, and Doreen Geerlof. A grandson Steven Geerlof also survives. Helen’s daughters take this opportunity to acknowledge Pura Cartagina and Steve Dyas for their wonderful care giving services, during Helen’s lengthy illness.
