Meadowlands Commission to host family science night

MEADOWLANDS AND BEYOND – The New Jersey Meadowlands on Nov. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. will host a family science night in nearby Lyndhurst for families of children and young adults with special learning needs. Participants will be able to answer what helps animals and plants survive in the wild after investigating movement, protection, feeding simulations that include live animal interaction, tool manipulation and cooperative work.

This program is an extension of the NJMC MarshAccess program for students with disabilities, and they strongly encourage families with special learning needs to come and enjoy this modified educational program.

The event will take place at the Meadowlands Environment Center in Lyndhurst and costs $5 per person; $4 per MEC member. While the program is geared toward those ages 6-12, families are welcome to bring children of all ages. To register, call (201) 460-4623 or go to: www.njmeadowlands.gov/ec.
