Forum to be held on pros and cons of rent control public question

HOBOKEN — The citizens of Hoboken are invited to learn the pros and
cons of the controversial Rent Leveling question No. 2 that will be on the November 6, 2012 ballot.
A forum will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Grace School Auditorium, Willow Avenue at Fifth Street from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is sponsored by the nonprofit and non partisan group Hoboken Quality of Life Coalition and hosted by The Parish of Our Lady of Grace and St. Joseph.
Ron Simoncini and Charles Gomally, Esq. will represent Hoboken Mile Square Taxpayers Association, the group that initiated the referendum. They will be countered by Dan Tumpson of Hoboken Fair Housing Association and Matthew Shapiro of the New Jersey Tenants Association.

Written questions will be accepted from the audience. Attendees will learn what a” Yes” vote and a” No” vote actually mean.
The event will be video taped by apt3Media and will be aired on Channel 78 after the event. Access to the taping will also appear on the websites of the Quality of Life Coalition and Our Lady of Grace.
