A mass of Christian burial was held Oct. 4 at St. Bridget’s Church for Ruth A. Hirsch of Jersey City, 88. She passed away Oct. 1 at Liberty House Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in the Bronx, Ruth was a long time resident of Jersey City and was Senior Librarian at the Jersey City Public Library on Jersey Avenue for over 25 years. She is survived by several cousins and her friends, Dennis and Clara (Sissy) Hayes. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
