Funding for the state’s anti-bulling initiative covers just a fraction of the real cost to public schools, according to school officials in Hudson County. Jersey City, which has some 28,000 students, received just $3,211. It is heartening to know that students are on the case, despite the funding shortfall. As part of the “Be Bold Ban Bullying” student art project, Goldman Sachs officials selected several paintings that have been on display since last January near its waterfront tower. Thirty students in grades six through 12 submitted their work.—JCM
