BREAKING: Hoboken toddler apparently wanders out of home late Wednesday night, crosses two streets and heads into A&P alone, crying

HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — A toddler wandered into A&P, 614 Clinton St., alone around 11 p.m. last night, crying. Store officials searched for the child’s parents and notified Hoboken police. The DYFS (Division of Youth and Family Services) was later notified and the child was taken to the hospital in an ambulance around 11:15 p.m.
According to Sgt. Sam Williams, the parents were later found in the 600 block of Willow Avenue, which runs parallel to Clinton, one block away. The parents were asleep and said the door was not secured and the baby left. The child then crossed Willow and Clinton streets by itself.
No charges have been filed against the parents.
