Pasta night a success

To the Editor:

I want to take a moment to thank all who came out and shared in our fourth annual Family Pasta Night for the Joseph Lillo Spinal Muscular Atrophy Foundation for Children. It was a complete success! I’d like to thank Monica Perez and Teresa Zaleski, the event chairs, who organized such an amazing event. I’d also like to thank the rest of our board members and volunteers for their hard work and never-ending commitment to this organization: Melissa Sisk, Amy Cottone-Spagnolo, Tara Dilullo, Ali Minunni, Drew Pratko, Dana Cleary, Angelo Maino, Chrissy Maino, Kathy Powers, Caitlin Toolen, Allison Martin, Michael McCabe, and of course all the board children who volunteered their time.
I’d like to thank all of the very generous restaurants and vendors who donated food or gift certificates. I’d also once again like to thank our amazing community who continues to come out and support a cause so near and dear to our hearts. Also, a big shout-out to our guest of honor, Deirdre Medina and her amazing family. Medina is an SMA warrior who continues to fight the SMA battle daily and makes us proud to do what we are doing.
These events mean so much to raising awareness and the funding necessary to help support both research and those children fighting this horrific genetic disorder daily. These simple words are not enough to let you know how grateful we are for the love and support we receive. The members of our organization take time from their families and their own children to make each and every event more spectacular than the last! I love each and every one of you. I’m so proud to be surrounded by so many wonderful people! Thank you for supporting our angel Joseph, whom all this is for.
