New Jersey City resident shot and killed

JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND – Jersey City police were seeking help last weekend locating the person or people who shot and killed a 21-year-old man on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Friday evening. The person was not captured as of press time.
The victim was shot twice – once in the abdomen and one once in his lower back – while sitting in a parked car on MLK Drive. at around 5 p.m., according to a report from the daily newspaper.
The victim, whose family is based in Virginia, had recently relocated to Jersey City, according to the report.
Police do not believe the victim, who was identified in the newspaper as Jalauni Harrington, knew his attacker or attackers. There was no known motive for the murder.

This is the second time this year that a new resident to Jersey City has been murdered shortly after relocating to this area.
