A funeral mass took place Sept. 24 at the Church of the Visitation, Brick, for Lillian Carnevale, 87, of Brick. She passed Sept. 21 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Secaucus before moving to Brick in 1992. Mrs. Carnevale was a secretary at the Hudson County Day Training Center in Secaucus for 10 years, she retired 1985. She worked during WW II as a personal secretary to a Navy Admiral and continued on as a legal secretary to two superior court judges. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Visitation, in Brick and numerous clubs at Seaview Village Association. Her husband Michael predeceased her in 1989, and her brother James Roach, sisters Catherine Florian, Florence Anderson and Patricia Roach. She is survived by her sons Micky and his wife Debra of Lake Hopatcong, Keith of Toms River, her daughter Donna and her husband John Kukla of Somerset. She has one brother Thomas Roach and a sister Mary Fargo; her grandchildren Keith Kukla, Jaimee Palmieri, Erin Kukla, Gian and Jake Carnevale, and one great grandchild, Ryan Palmieri.
