St. Andrew’s had fun!

To the Editor:

Thanks to everyone who attended our Sept. 15 evening of ballroom and line dancing fundraiser sponsored by Jesus Through Mary Ministry of New Jersey (JTMM-NJ). Our huge auditorium was the perfect setting for this event. Every dancer was thrilled with our hardwood varnish floor, which was literally covered the entire night with dancing feet.
We are so grateful for the donated time and talent of Sebastian Tomkowski and Anna Raytsina, who are well-known and highly placed in the last collegiate competition, which ended last April 28 at Rutgers University. “Dancing with the Stars” has nothing on them. We wish them continued success.
Also, we thank Phillip (Pete) Allen of Wallace Temple, with his perfectly chosen a capella selections. A fine man with a gifted voice, we certainly were having a party and dancing to the music. He was well received.
The hired DJ was excellent and special thanks to Ed Ariola of Dumont and Ofie Baal of Jersey City for leading and teaching various line dances.
The food catered from the Venice Restaurant was delicious. We thank them for supplying the table linens. The Filipino community dishes were tasty as always.
If you were there, we thank you and look forward to seeing you to an encore of ballroom and line dancing in the near future.
We had fun with our silent auction, 50/50 raffles and the door prizes. Congrats to all the winners. If you missed it, be sure to be there next time! Be sure to come to our upcoming September event, Late Night Catechism interactive event on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. For more information, call (201) 437-0833.
