A funeral was held Sept. 17 for William R. “Rudy” Knoblauch of Jersey City. He died Sept. 12. Rudy was born in Jersey City, the son of the late Charlotte and Willy Knoblauch. Rudy was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Rudy was a retired Jersey City fireman with over 30 years service to the community. He was an avid sportsman and country western dancer. Rudy was the uncle of Robert Knoblauch and his wife Michele, Mildred Ann Lent and her husband Rodman; brother in law of Mildred Knoblauch; great uncle of Rodman and Daniel Lent, and Robert C. Jr. and Matthew D. Knoblauch and the late Alfred Jr. and William. Services arranged by the Houghton Funeral Home, Jersey City.
