A funeral mass was celebrated Sept. 8 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Weehawken for Judith Anne McFeely, 67. She passed away Sept. 3, after a brief battle with lung cancer, at her home in Virginia Beach, surrounded by her family. She joins her mom and dad, Tom and Jean McFeely, and her brother Dennis who predeceased her. Judy was born and lived most of her life in Hoboken. She was a graduate of Jersey City State College and spent 33 years as a elementary school teacher in the Hoboken schools. Upon retirement, she moved to Virginia Beach to continue her love of children as the great aunt to several of her grand nieces and nephews.
Judy is survived by her brother, Tom McFeely and his wife Mary, of Chesapeake, Va; sister Mary Jean Lange of Ocean; and sister Kathleen Meyer and husband Joe, of Naples, Fla. Aunt Judy is also survived by her and nieces and nephews and their spouses, Mary Kay Benish, Colleen Shook, Thomas (Mac) McFeely, Dennis and Marc McFeely, Bridget Daggett, Michelle Richards, Joseph Meyer, Jeniffer Dickinson, Erin Meyer, and 20 grand nieces and nephews.
