A funeral mass took place Aug. 28 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, for Nettie Apruzzese, 101. She died Aug. 18 at Bayside Manor, Keansburg. She was a lifelong Jersey City resident. She was the daughter of the late Antonetta and Giuseppe D’Amico. She worked in the lunch room for the Jersey City Board of Education at P.S. 11 for 35 years. She retired at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late Joseph ‘Chick’ Apruzzese; mother of the late Anthony and the late Joseph Apruzzese; grandmother of Anthony Apruzzese and Linda DiGiacomo; great grandmother of Matthew, Janelle, Channing and Anthony; dear aunt of Anthony Liccardi, Antoinette Ashcraft, Chickie D’Amico and Rachel King. She was the last survivor of seven siblings. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
