DEBELLO, VINCENZA

A memorial mass was celebrated Aug. 11 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church for Vincenza ‘Dolly’ DeBello, 80, of Jersey City. She passed away at Community Medical Center in Toms River with her family beside her on Aug. 5. Born in Hoboken, Dolly moved to Jersey City to raise her family and remained a resident since. She worked for many years at the Burger King on Central Avenue where she was loved and admired by her coworkers for her wit, wisdom and advice which she dispensed freely with warmth and kindness. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Jersey City and a volunteer with Bingo and many of the church and school fundraisers. Dolly is predeceased by her sons, Joseph and Dominic DeBello and brother, Sonny Minervini. She is survived by her two daughters, Rose Marie Gambino and Martha M. Cummings and her husband Edward Cummings; sister, Teresa Marzocca; brother, Danny Minervini; four grandchildren, Monique Marie Gambino, Danielle Rose Gambino, Joseph DeBello and Jacqueline DeBello; three great grandchildren, Alyssa, Joseph and Gianna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
