A funeral mass took place July 30 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Jersey City, for Raymond M. Shanley, 84. He died July 22 at Delaire Nursing Home in Linden. Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident. Raymond served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an Ironworker for Local 45 Jersey City for 30 years, retiring in 1997. Surviving are his companion Adele Lindner; his daughter Jill Solski and her husband Michael; his stepchildren JoAnn Corallo and Steven Lindner; and grandfather of five.
