A funeral mass took place July 11 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Angelina Romano, 83. She passed away July 6 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Hoboken and was a lifelong resident. Angelina retired after many years as a clerk assigned to the David E. Rue and A.J. Demarest Schools in the Hoboken Board of Education. She was a frequent visitor to Trump Plaza Casino in Atlantic City. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2006. She is the mother of John and his companion Eileen, Jacqueline Simone and her husband Daniel, Charlene Romano Florio and her husband David, and daughter in law Gayle Romano; sister of Joseph “Jigger” Borrelli of Toms River and Michael “Chowder” Borrelli of Cherry Hill and the late Emily Daddas, Alan Borrelli, and Emil “Chubby” Borrelli; sister in law to John “Honey” and Irene Romano, Anthony H. and Martha Romano, and Catherine and the late Peter Romano and the late Edith Aste; grandmother of 12 and great grandmother to 4; and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Angelina was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken. Services arranged by the Lawton Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
