CONROY, HELEN

A funeral mass was held July 7 at St. Aedan’s Church for Helen Conroy, 83. She passed away at her Jersey City residence on July 5. Born in Jersey City, Helen remained a lifelong resident where she had a long career in accounting working for Swift and Company, then for E and R Refrigeration and lastly at the Provident Bank over the course of a half of a century of employment.
Helen was an active communicant of St. Aedan’s Church, where, as a lifelong parishioner, she was lauded as one of their longest parishioners. She was an active Volunteer for Hudson Hospice for over twenty years, assisting them with their fundraising efforts.
Helen was predeceased by her sister, Mary Curley, brothers, Joseph and Thomas Conroy, niece Mickey Nodoro and friend Jesse McCann. She is survived by her nephews, Billy, Joseph and Thomas Curley and niece, Barbara Alford; 10 great nieces and 10 great grandnieces and a host of wonderful friends, too numerous to mention, but all so very important to her. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
