Response to “The final trip for a friendless soul” letter

Dear Editor:
I write you this letter in response to a letter you recently published titled “The Final Trip for a friendless soul”. Clearly this person has nothing better to do with their time but to add salt to an open wound on a family that has recently lost their son. All because they sat at a traffic light for 5 to 10 minutes while a loved one was seen off. This person decides to call a dearly loved and well respected “soul” with more family and friends than they probably have, a “friendless soul”. This “friendless soul” had a full church of loving and caring friends and family to see him off into the hands of God. This “friendless soul” probably had more people in one room that day than the person that wrote you that letter.
If you have nothing better to do but try to hurt people with your words why do you need to hide behind anonymity, you should have the guts to put a name behind your hurtful words. This “friendless soul” was not only my family but my very dear friend who was taken from this world way before his time. He will be missed everyday. The shameless person who wrote you this letter could only have been so lucky to have as many friends and family to see them off when it is their time to meet God. And if their problem is with the Sheriff’s Dept. or politics they could’ve simply wrote you a letter about that instead writing such harsh words about someone that you weren’t lucky enough to have in your life. May you rest in peace Mark. I love you and miss you dearly.

Your Cousin Jay
